Potential Juror Dismissed Because of Tweet

Stories of jurors who disregard judges’ instructions not discuss their cases online (including on Facebook and Twitter), are so numerous, I can barely keep up.  The latest juror story comes from the high-profile murder trial of the man charged with the killing of Chandra Levy.

One potential juror was not selected because of his tweet, which he posted on Thursday night:

Guilty guilty… I will not be swayed. Practicing for jury duty.

Four men and 12 women were chosen as jurors on Friday, October 22.   The presiding judge cautioned the jurors not to discuss the case with anyone and to avoid using social media to communicate about the case.
